Just a quick note to plug my friend James's Kickstarter to print the first issue of his publishing company, Ten31 Publishing's, new series HOUSE OF FEAR. Ten31 is the company that will be publishing my Lovecraftian, all-ages horror comic THE GRUMPLEDOWNS GANG AND THE CASE OF THE MAIL-ORDER SHOGGOTHS and James is really going places with this new press.
House of Fear is a new series of complete, stand-alone, scary comics intended for readers of all ages, appropriate for kids but not dumbed down like some kid-friendly comics you see. The first issue features a story called, "The Curse of Cottonwood Ct." In this chilling tale, a girl moves to a new neighborhood and discovers that she's living across from a haunted house. Can she and her new friend defeat the ghost before its evil spreads to the entire neighborhood?
This issue of House of Fear is a full-color, 24-page comic. The issue is 100% finished; all that's left is to print it. With this Kickstarter campaign, James hopes to fund the off-set print run for the issue.
