Well, lots of news.
First, I'd like to share the "secret project" I've alluded to online the last few weeks (link opens in a new window):
NERVOSA, a Cellphone Novel
As it says in the preface, this is an experiment and I hope you'll join me on it as I've been fascinated by the concept of text/cellphone novels for a while and I wanted to try this new style out for myself. The idea for this story is one I had quite a long time ago, and tried my hand at bringing to life once, but I wasn't at all happy with the outcome, so I'm starting from scratch in a vastly-different format, one that's entirely new to me as a writer.
If you aren't aware, the cellphone novel is a format that originated in Japan in the early aughts and they are, simply put, novels written on and designed to be read on cellphones. They feature tiny chapters of anywhere from 50 to 150 or so words on average and no more than 200 words. I wanted to find a way to both allow people to receive it on their cellphones and post the story online simultaneously, and when I stumbled on textnovel.com, a website devoted to the cellphone novel, it was perfect.
I plan to update twice a week and you can either read the story online or sign up for the textnovel site (it's completely free) and get updates sent directly to your phone and read the story as I write it, in the format intended. Either way, I hope you'll join me in this experiment. I think it'll be fun. The first chapter is up and I'd love to hear your thoughts, so please feel free to post them on the story's comments section or on here. And if you do sign up for the site and enjoy the story, please make sure to both up-vote and favorite it as the more votes/favorites it gets, the more visibility it will get on the site and the more people can discover it.

Next, Alterna Comics' IF anthology, volume 1 is out.
IF is an annual anthology, each volume with a different theme. This first volume's theme was "science fiction" and the lead story is "D is for Victory!" by myself and Peebo Mondia. You can see a preview of "D is for Victory!" on Alterna's website here. There are 15 stories total and the book came out wonderfully. I hope you'll pick it up and I hope to participate in next year's volume, as well.
Also, my next book, out at the end of December from Dunhams Manor Press, will be The Castle-Town Tragedy and Other Stories.

It's a collection of 3 novellas featuring occult detective Thomas Carnacki, The Ghost-Finder and the first book in the new Dunhams Manor Weird Tales hardcover series. This edition will be a limited hardcover with exclusive interior illustrations by the great Dave Felton (as well as the cover). A trade-paperback release will follow, but it won't have the interior illustrations.
This is a book I'm very, very proud of and consider some of my very best prose to date so if you're a collector of rare books, a fan of weird fiction or a fan of mine, I strongly advise you to order the hardcover ASAP, as it's limited to 100 copies and Dunhams Manor books tend to sell out very quickly.
