Got my copy of Mystery Magazine, December 2022 featuring my story "Five Finger Christmas"! You can get your own here! I also got my copy of the new issue of Books 'n' Pieces Magazine, featuring my crime story "The Longest Way Home" which you can read online, in its entirety, for free!
My crime story "The Longest Way Home" appears in the December issue of Books 'n' Pieces. Please give it a read. It's a bit different than my usual crime stories. It's apparently the last issue of the magazine, which I just learned from the new issue myself. It's too bad, it was a well-put-together magazine with a good mix of fiction and articles.
I want to thank publisher William Gensburger for having in me in the final issue. The December issue of Mystery Magazine is out and includes my story "Five Finger Christmas", a holiday crime story! This is my first appearance in MM in exactly a year, so don't miss out!
Happy Thanksgiving to all who celebrate! I hope you all have things you feel thankful for and get a chance to spend tomorrow with people you care about, enjoying some delicious food.
Thanksgiving is just a few days away now, and in its honor, have some free entertainment! You can read my western mystery, the first story about Marshal Ernie Farrar, for free right here or by clicking the image below. I hope you enjoy!
It's still a little ways off, but a new anthology of horror fiction from Redwood Press is coming soon, and it includes my story "Please Come Out" - a new, non-Azuma Kuromori-related, Japanese mythology-inspired horror story.
Check back for more details soon! The new issue of Pulp Modern is out and it's not only an all-horror issue, it includes "You Were the Last", my fifth Azuma Kuromori story!
It's finally here! BLACK IS THE NIGHT, featuring my story "Two Wrongs" is out in the US today! A gritty and thrilling anthology of 30 new short stories in tribute to pulp noir master, Cornell Woolrich, author of 'Rear Window' that inspired Alfred Hitchock's classic film.
Featuring Neil Gaiman, Kim Newman, James Sallis, A.K. Benedict, USA Today-bestseller Samantha Lee Howe, Joe R. Lansdale and many more. An anthology of exclusive new short stories in tribute to the master of pulp era crime writing, Cornell Woolrich. Woolrich, also published as William Irish and George Hopley, stands with Raymond Chandler, Erle Stanley Gardner and Dashiell Hammett as a legend in the genre. He is a hugely influential figure for crime writers, and is also remembered through the 50+ films made from his novels and stories, including Alfred Hitchcock’s Rear Window, The Bride Wore Black, I Married a Dead Man, Phantom Lady, Truffaut's La Sirène du Mississippi, and Black Alibi.
