Last year, my friend Joe Badon (artist/co-creator of my webcomic THE CRIME QUIRKS GAZETTE) was asked to do a sample story for Boom! Studios and he asked me to write one for him to draw. We chose Adventure Time! (a favorite of mine) and “Day of Derek” was the result.
Ultimately, Boom! decided not to publish it, but it was still a lot of fun to write and it seemed a shame to let it languish on a hard drive.
